UK firm rejects $116bln bid from US drug-giant

UK drug firm AstraZeneca has rejected a 'final' takeover bid from US rival Pfizer.

Pfizer had upped its offer for AstraZeneca to $116bn – in cash and shares.

Pfizer, the world's largest drug company, says this latest bid is its final attempt to persuade AstraZeneca to negotiate a merger.
