Shooting spree reopens gun-control debate in US

The United States is still reeling Monday from a deadly shooting carried out near one of California's major universities, which left six students dead, 13 injured, and a community terrorized.

The gunman, 22 year old Elliot Rodger, left a nearly 150 page "manifesto" and a series of online videos explaining his motivation for the murders, saying that repeated rejection socially and sexually had driven him to kill his classmates.

In Washington, DC, our correspondent Alice Ollstein reports on how the tragedy is impacting the national conversation on gun control and mental health.
