FCC's Net Neutrality proposals come under fire

As a powerful government agency prepares to vote on a proposal to fundamentally change Internet access across the United States, major tech companies, members of Congress and some of the agencies' own members are protesting. The rule in question would allow web service providers like Verizon and Comcast to create "fast lanes" for certain websites and content--for a fee, leaving those who can't pay in a "slow lane." In Washington, our correspondent Alice Ollstein reports that a group of activists have set up a protest encampment outside the agency to pressure them to reconsider the impact of the upcoming vote on the media, social movements and ordinary web users.
