INTW: US team to assist rescue of 200 Nigerian schoolgirls

The United States will send a team including military and law enforcement personnel to help secure the safe return of over 200 schoolgirls kidnapped in Nigeria.

US Secretary of State John Kerry announced the move today, three weeks after the mass abduction by Islamist extremists Boko Harem.

The girls were taken from a school in the northern state of Borno on April 14th. A militant leader claims the kidnappers intend to sell the girls, most of whom are 16 to 18 years old.
