Halal demand on the rise in the US despite fears over Islamophobia

Halal food is becoming increasingly popular in the United States but
that's not simply tied to a growing Muslim population.

The specially prepared meat is being embraced by some major
supermarkets and 2016 is set to be a record year when it comes to
sales.

With Islamophobia on the rise in parts of the US, some hope halal food
can provide a true taste of what the Muslim community brings to the
table.
