Artifacts recovered from the remains of a slave ship off the coast of South Africa are playing a central role in a new museum in the United States.
This week(museum opens SAT 24/9), U.S. President Barack Obama will preside over the opening of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.
The museum explores the United States' history of slavery, but also celebrates contemporary African American communities and culture.
