But it's U.S. President Barack Obama who has made his opinion clearest, calling upon Republican leaders to withdraw their endorsement of Donald Trump.

Within hours,
Donald Trump's campaign had issued a statement,
saying Barack Obama is a failed leader
and suggesting Hillary Clinton is a criminal who has proven herself unfit to serve in any government office.

a short while later, Hillary Clinton's campaign responded in kind
saying Donald Trump is callous,
and has proven himself Temperamentally Unfit to be Commander in Chief:

The latest escalation started when the Khan family urged Donald Trump to read the U-S Constitution and have some empathy
especially for families like theirs, who lost a son, an American soldier,
to an Iraqi I-E-D.
Donald Trump's campaign most recently responded with an endorsement from the father of one of the Americans killed in 2012 in Benghazi, Libya,
again blaming Hillary Clinton for this and other national security crises.

And one Republican lawmaker already has.
Richard Hanna, a Republican Congressman representing Syracuse, says he'll vote for Hillary Clinton.
His friend Representative Charlie Dent says he wasn't surprised.
