Millennials are the largest group of Americans - potential voters in their 20s and early 30s.
But traditionally, it's older voters who drive the election agenda, not younger.
As our correspondent in Washington reports, Priscilla Huff, this may change as pressing issues force young people to the polls.

He's a 30 year old strongly supporting Bernie Sanders.

According to a recent study by the Pew foundation,
Americans born after 1980 are more racially diverse and socially liberal of any other age group
They are also the largest - as many as 83 million according to some definitions of the millenial generation
even more than the famed Baby Boomers
Bernie Sanders is 74 years old and describes himself as a social democrat.
Young voters have been turning out in droves to his rallies
in part because they believe he can address the problems and grievances of voters across the political divide

In contrast, Hillary Clinton was expected to zip up the women's vote across age groups.
However, following comments by leading feminist Gloria Steinem and others, some young women said, actually no, they might not vote for Hillary Clinton just because she's a woman.
Hillary Clinton has stuck to her position, that even if young people don't support her, she'll keep working on issues that matter to them.

But in the end, it's all about getting voters and especially young voters to the polls
Every day, around 12 -thousand Americans turn 18 and become eligible to vote.
Sarah Audelo is with Rock the Vote, an organization that's been around since 1990
the group itself is old enough to vote...and that's what it's dedicated to doing
getting young people registered to vote and politically involved.

Those challenges include expensive real estate - when young people often earn low wages
and a nation which has never quite dealt with the issue of care -
it's the young who have babies but then who takes care of them when most familes need two full paychecks to pay rent or a mortgage and mountains of educational debt.
With young people rallying and voting for Bernie Sanders by an overwhelming majority
Ahead of Super Tuesday, Hillary Clinton needs to convince these voters that she's heard their concerns.
