Widespread protests have taken place in the United States after another grand jury - this time in New York - decided not to charge another white police officer in connection with the choking death of another unarmed black man.
Eric Garner was killed by police in July as they tried to arrest him for black market cigarette sales.
He could be heard several times telling officers that he couldn't breathe after they wrestled him to the ground.
The whole scene was captured on videotape.
Our Washington Correspondent Simon Marks says there is widespread disbelief and anger that the officer responsible will NOT now face prosecution.

Another case, another grand jury, another decision not to lay criminal charges against a white policeman who killed an unarmed African American.
This time, Staten Island was the scene….last July, Eric Garner was placed in a chokehold by officer Daniel Pantaleo.
Mr. Garner's alleged crime: making black-market cigarette sales.
The entire episode was captured on tape by a bystander with a cellphone…and you can clearly hear Mr. Garner telling officers that he couldn't breathe.

Eleven times he said it…they were among his final words, as the father of six collapsed and died.
The Medical Examiner concluded that while Eric Garner suffered from heart problems, obesity and asthma, his death was a homicide.
A grand jury was convened to determine whether Officer Pantaleo should face charges.
Just like the grand jury in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson ten days ago investigating the death Michael Brown, they concluded that he should not.
Across America the news was met with disbelief.

Protestors took to the streets of New York, marching up 6th Avenue in the center of Manhattan.
Others gathered at the scene of Mr. Garner's killing in Staten Island.
And in the world famous Grand Central train terminal, protestors lay on the ground in what they called a mass "die in", expressing their fury over the jury's decision.

On Capitol Hill there was disbelief as well.

Preisdent Obama called Attorney General Eric Holder after the jury's decision was announced.
A federal investigation into Mr. Garner's death will now get underway.
And the President, in previously scheduled appearance before native American leaders in Washington, said he will now redouble his efforts to try and improve the relationship between law enforcement and the people they're supposed to protect.

Even more than the Michael Brown case - where the precise circumstances of the 19 year old's death have never been clear - the killing of Eric Garner - shown so vividly on tape - is enraging Americans regardless of political affiliation.
And on the very day that the grand jury's decision was announced….in Cleveland 12 year old Tamir Rice was being buried….ten days after he was killed by police who later learned the gun he'd been brandishing in a playground was a toy.
