Since making the leap from screen to stage, Disney's The Lion King has
been seen by around 90 million people worldwide grossing an estimated
$8 billion.
The story of a young lion's journey to adulthood draws heavily on
South African traditions and five of the country's officials languages
are featured in the show.
The Lion King has now been on Broadway in the United States for 20
years offering South African actors an unprecedented opportunity to
develop their careers and share some of their native heritage.
