UNESCO's World Heritage Committee has warned Tanzania that the Selous Game Reserve could be irreversibly damaged by a hydropower plant due to be constructed on the Rufiji River.
President John Magufuli personally gave the go-ahead to the dam at Stiegler's Gorge, because it will provide much-needed electricity for millions of people. Lucy Taylor reports.
