US President Donald Trump is poised to pull out of the Paris climate change agreement, according to senior administration officials.
But a final decision hasn't yet been made. The 2015 landmark agreement was signed by 195 countries in a UN group on climate change. Donald Trump had promised to pull out of the accord during the presidential campaign.

As is often the case in Washington these days, Wednesday began with a tweet. President Donald Trump tweeted he'd announce his decision on whether the US would withdraw from the Paris Climate Change agreement within the "next few days".
But US media quoted several senior administration officials as saying the President was ready to ditch the deal - fulfilling a campaign promise to roll back environmental regulations and boost economic growth.
The news prompted a flurry of last minute lobbying to try and persuade Donald Trump to change his mind.
JAKE SCHMIDT from the Natural Resources Defense Council was in Paris when the accord was signed. He said the US pulling out would be a disaster.

Mitt Romney, a former Republican presidential nominee said affirmation of the agreement was about global leadership.
Elon Musk, the boss of tech company Tesla said he would quit the white house advisory group he sits on if Trump decided to withdraw from the paris agreement.
But when the President was quizzed by journalists in the oval office, he gave no clues about his decision.

An intense lobbying effort will continue over the coming days as the President ponders perhaps the most consequential decision of his administration so far.
