E-commerce giant Amazon has opening its first physical store in New
York as part of the company's push into the more traditional
brick-and-mortar retail market.
This comes as many stores in the U.S. are struggling to adapt to
changing consumer habits and the rise of online shopping.
But Amazon still believes the high street is an important battleground
in the fight for dominance in the retail sector.
