A congestion charge has been introduced in New York with the aim of
reducing traffic in Manhattan.
The fee only applies to those riding in taxis and ride hailing
services such as Uber and Lyft.
The money generated will help fund improvements to the city's subway
and buses but cab drivers believe it'll have a major impact on their
livelihoods.
William Denselow reports from New York.
