The US Attorney General Jeff Sessions has resigned - raising big questions about the future of the investigation into ties between the Trump campaign and the Russians.
Meanwhile, after an extraordinary combative post mid-terms press conference, the White House has revoked the credentials of one reporter from CNN - falsely accusing him of assaulting an intern.

Welcome to Washington after the mid-term elections.
First - a reminder: Overnight on Tuesday, the Democrats won control of the house of representatives, breaking Republican stronghold in Washington and threatening to all but end President Trump's legislative agenda for the next two years.
In an attempt to change the narrative, President Trump called a press conference.
When CNN reporter Jim Acosta questioned the president on the Russia investigation, things got testy.

(TRUMPS WALKS AWAY FROM THE PODIUM VISIBLY FRUSTRATED THEN RETURNS TO THE PODIUM)
TRUMP I'll tell you what. CNN should be ashamed of itself having you work for them. You are a rude, terrible person. You shouldn't be working for CNN.
ACOSTA I think that's unfair --
TRUMP You're a very rude person. The way you treat (WHITE HOUSE PRESS SECRETARY) Sarah Huckabee is horrible and the way you treat other people are horrible. You shouldn't treat people that way."
Hours later, the White House pulled the reporter's credentials, falsely accusing him of assaulting a white house intern as she tried to take his microphone away.
At the Justice Department - after months of ridicule from the president, Attorney General Jeff Sessions handed in his resignation. His replacement - at least temporarily - has been a strong critic of Robert Mueller's russia investigation. Democrats, like Senate Minority leader Chuck Schumer, say the inquiry needs to be protected.
