Tipping policies leaving many servers with a bitter taste in the mouth

An effort by a few restauranteurs in New York to do away with tipping
has left some with a bitter taste in the mouth.

Servers rely on tips to supplement their wages but a number of
restaurants in recent years have scrapped this system in an effort to
give their staff a more stable salary. But as William Denselow
reports, many in the industry haven't found this alternative to be an
appetizing solution.
