Washing machine tariffs have businesses in a spin

Some washing machine manufacturers have been through the wringer this
year with prices for appliances in the U.S. rising to their highest
levels in 12 years.

This comes after the Trump administration announced back in January
that imported washing machines would be subject to tariffs.

The goal of this measure is to protect U.S. companies from foreign
competition but not everyone is convinced it's having the desired
effect.
