The sale of dairy milk is on the decline in the United States as
consumers are developing a greater thirst for plant-based
alternatives.
Many make the switch because of dietary requirements but market
research firm Mintel believe a growing part of the population see
products like almond or coconut milk as a healthier alternative to
dairy.
This is churning up change in the ice cream industry as some frozen
dessert makers hope to milk this trend.
