Two days of meetings in New York between the U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and North Korean's Kim Yong Chol have ended with a note of optimism.
And the two men appear to have mended relations after President Trump cancelled the summit with North Korea's leader planned for June 12th in Singapore.

Indeed when asked when we might hear if the summit is back on, Pompeo candidly and simply said 'I don't know'. Progress has been made but there's still much to be worked out before the American and North Korean leaders sit down to talk.
