INTRO:
President Donald Trump has been in office less than a month but already there have been protests, resignations and legal fights.
But have the controversies changed the way his supporters feel? What do the people who voted for him think of his first few weeks in office?
Kate Fisher has been finding out.
SCRIPT:
VO: A busy lunchtime at the Boulevard Diner in Dundalk, Maryland but when Donald Trump stopped here for a burger on the campaign trail, it was standing room only.

VO: Julia served the president-to-be that day
"I was just worried about dropping something on him!"
VO: But the plates stayed steady and Julia voted for a man she believes also has a safe pair of hands.

"I feel great. I think that he's going to do an excellent job and i think that the right person got into office and i think having a non politician in office is a change, it's a difference and so i think that good things are going to come from that."
VO: There's a presidential seal over the booth where Mr Trump ate his lunch, now the most popular seat in the house
"That's the seat that we always sit in with out kids so I kinda felt honored that he sat there."
Registered Democrat Kev didn't think twice about his first vote for a Republican

"He doesn't always say things the proper way but he says what people want to hear and he's wants to do the right thing and he loves America."
VO: And this part of America loves him. He won 77 percent of the republican vote in the primary here.
"I re-registered as a republican and voted Trump."
VO: This neighbourhood, once the heart of Maryland's blue collar Democrat constituency, is now a Trump stronghold.

"This cat has brought a lot more to us in the last 3 weeks, I think, whatever the cat's name Obama was before him. This cat's moving stuff . He's changing the concept, the way American politics has been run for the past couple of decades.
