Obama Asks Congress for War Powers Against ISIS

President Obama has sent the US congress a formal request for an Authorization for Use of Military Force against the Islamic State group.

Speaking from the White House, the President said his plan would not allow longterm, large-scale ground combat operations.

The authorization would last for three years until the next Presidential term begins.
