Red Cross issue global heatwave guidelines

Heatwaves have gripped large parts of North America and Europe
throughout the summer with temperatures regularly topping 40 degrees
Celsius.

This follows what scientists believe to have been the warmest June and
July that the world has ever experienced.

The Red Cross expects heat waves to get more intense in the future and
as William Denselow reports from New York, the disaster relief agency
has released guidelines on what cities can do to mitigate their
effects.
