The partial U.S. government shutdown has delayed the release of some
retail data but analysts are confident it was a strong holiday
shopping season.
According to MasterCard, it was a particularly good year for
department stores online.
While in-store sales at these stores dipped again analysts are
confident that brick-and-mortar can survive- if they're willing to
adapt.
