VO -1 One at a time, 10 caskets carrying the remains of the Ugandan soldiers killed in Janaale, Somalia...carried off the plane.
VO 2 The Ugandan airforce brass band played tunes to honour the fallen soldiers.
Chief of staff of land forces Leopold Kyanda says it was an unfortunate incident.

"These gallant soldiers that regrettably passed on as a result of a vehicle bound improvised explosive device were part of a very strong team that heroically denied Al shabaab its intended final target of gaining ground at janaale which had been liberated by the AMISOM forces"
VO 3 The attack also left 10 soldiers injured, three of them in a critical condition. They were flown to a hospital in Kenya for immediate attention.
VO - 4 Uganda's chief of staff, land forces Leopold Kyanda condemned the attack but says it will not relent the force's fight against terrorism.

"When there is an attack, we do not want to compare it as anything good, this has been painful but it has not affected our resolve to keep there.
VO - 5 The militants reportedly engaged the African Union Mission in Somalia-AMISOM soldiers in a gun battle after their forced entry into the camp.
The Janaale camp is said to house mainly Ugandan peace-keepers.
Forty six of the militants were killed and two captured.
VO 6 The Janaale base is now said to have been retaken back by AMISOM and the situation is back to normal.
VO 7 Much of Somalia is now under the control of AMISOM troops but Al shabaab still carries out surprise attacks including suicide attacks even in places under control of AMISOM.
VO 8 Uganda was among the first African countries to send troops to Somalia and has the biggest number of peace keepers there.
